Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or participating in the Juven Stars Talent Contest ("the Contest"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not participate in the Contest.

2. Eligibility

Participants must meet the following criteria:

• Be between 8 and 16 years of age at the time of registration
• Provide valid proof of age if requested by organizers
• Have written parental or guardian consent
• Be a student currently enrolled in a school or homeschool program

3. Registration & Fees

Registration requires purchase of an official hardcopy form from authorized distribution points. Fees are as follows:

• Standard Registration: ₦5,000 per participant
• Bulk registration discounts available for schools (10+ students)
• Registration fees are non-refundable unless the Contest is cancelled by organizers
• Forms must be submitted before the published deadline

4. Code of Conduct

All participants must adhere to the following code of conduct:

• Behave respectfully towards judges, staff, volunteers, and other contestants
• Arrive on time for all scheduled events and auditions
• Follow all instructions given by Contest officials
• No cheating, plagiarism, or unfair advantage of any kind
• No harassment, bullying, or disruptive behavior
• No inappropriate language, gestures, or content in performances

5. Intellectual Property & Media Rights

By participating in the Contest, you grant Juven Stars and Cerebria Tech Solutions the following rights:

• The right to photograph, record, and broadcast your performance
• The right to use your name, image, and likeness for promotional purposes
• The right to share performance videos on social media, website, and partner platforms
• The right to use performance clips for future Contest promotions

Participants retain ownership of their original songs/compositions but grant us license to use recordings for Contest-related purposes.

6. Judging & Decisions

• All judging decisions are final and binding
• No correspondence or appeals will be entered into regarding judging decisions
• Judges are selected based on their professional expertise in relevant fields
• Scoring criteria will be shared with participants before each round
• Organizers reserve the right to disqualify any participant for valid cause

7. Prizes & Awards

• Prizes are as advertised on the official website and promotional materials
• Prize specifications are subject to availability and may be substituted with equivalent value
• Cash prizes will be paid via bank transfer within 30 days of winner announcement
• Winners are responsible for any applicable taxes on prizes
• Prizes must be claimed within 60 days of announcement or will be forfeited
• Physical prizes must be collected in person or at winner's expense for delivery

Organizers reserve the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Contest or any part thereof with reasonable notice. Changes may include:

• Dates and times of events
• Venue locations
• Rules and judging criteria
• Prize specifications

10. Privacy & Data Protection

All personal information collected will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By registering, you consent to:

• The collection and storage of your personal data
• Use of your data for Contest administration and communication
• Sharing of winner information with sponsors and media partners

11. Force Majeure

Organizers shall not be liable for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, government actions, public health emergencies, power outages, or technical failures.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these terms or the Contest shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Lagos, Nigeria.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
